Is 14k gold-filled right for you?
Gold-filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold which must constitute at least 5% of the item's total weight, mechanically bonded to a base metal. If you are purchasing our gold-filled stud earrings please keep in mind they are cut from a sheet of 14k gold-filled metal. The front and back of the stud will have a layer of 14k gold. The edges where the sheet was cut will have exposed base metal. If you are sensitive to brass, we do not recommend our gold-filled earrings. You will need to purchase solid gold material. The posts and earring backs are fully coated in 14k gold and work well for many people, however, we realize all people have different levels of sensitivity.
