Finish and Metal Options

Sterling Silver Finish Options

We offer several finish options for sterling silver, each with its own unique look and character—so you can choose the style that fits you best.

Polished sterling silver is bright, shiny, and highly reflective, giving a clean, classic look. It’s also our most popular finish. If you prefer a more natural, lived-in look over time, polished sterling will gradually develop its own patina with wear—or can be easily brought back to a bright shine with a polishing cloth.

Brushed sterling silver has a soft, matte appearance with subtle directional texture, giving it a modern, understated feel.

Antiqued sterling silver offers a worn-in, well-loved look—like a favorite piece that’s been with you for years. It’s a low-maintenance finish that naturally complements everyday wear.

Oxidized sterling silver features a darker, gunmetal tone with a slightly polished sheen, highlighting details with rich contrast.

Each finish is applied by hand, allowing the character of the metal—and the craftsmanship behind it—to shine through.

Not sure which finish to choose?
If you like bright and classic, go with polished. Prefer something low-maintenance with character right out of the box? Antiqued or oxidized are great options.

Choosing Gold: What’s the Difference?

We offer several gold options, including 14k gold-filled, solid 10k gold, and solid 14k gold—each with its own balance of color, durability, and price.

14k gold-filled consists of a thick layer of 14k gold mechanically bonded to a brass core. It offers the look of solid gold at a more accessible price point and holds up well with proper care. However, because of the brass core, those with metal sensitivities may prefer solid gold options.

Solid 10k gold is more durable due to its higher alloy content, making it a great everyday option, though it has a slightly lighter, less rich yellow tone. Solid 14k gold contains a higher percentage of gold, giving it a deeper, warmer, more classic gold color while still being suitable for daily wear.

Because of these differences in gold content, you may notice subtle variations in color between each option. Additionally, colors can appear differently depending on your screen, monitor settings, and lighting conditions—so slight variations are normal.

Not sure which to choose?
If you want the richest, warmest gold color, go with solid 14k. Looking for durability with a slightly lighter tone? Solid 10k is a great everyday option. If you love the look of gold at a more accessible price point, 14k gold-filled is a solid choice—though those with sensitivities may prefer solid gold.
