✦ Is 14k Gold-Filled Right for You?
Our gold-filled jewelry is made from a thick layer of 14k gold bonded to a base metal which is much thicker than plating. 14k gold-filled stud earrings are cut from gold-filled sheet, so while the front and back are 14k gold, the cut edges will expose the underlying metal. If you have a sensitivity to brass or base metals, we recommend choosing solid gold instead. The posts and earring backs are fully coated in 14k gold and are comfortable for many wearers, but sensitivities can vary.
