If you are purchasing our gold filled stud earrings please keep in mind they are cut from a sheet of 14k gold filled metal. What this will mean is that the front and back of the stud will have a layer of 14k gold, while the edges where the sheet was cut will have exposed base metal. If you are sensitive to brass, we do not recommend our gold-filled earrings please purchase the solid gold. The posts and earrings backs are fully coated in 14k gold and work well for many people, however, we realize all people have different levels of sensitivity.
